Seychelles-China Day Celebrations 2014 recognises part played by Chinese Community of the islands
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News - The Seychellois of today is a melting pot of cultures and all happily living as the Creole People of these magnificent mid-ocean islands. History reminds everyone that the diversity in the population of these islanders comes from the era of the first -----settlers who landed on the white sandy beach of Seychelles from France, Africa, Great Britain, India and China.
The Seychelles Department of Culture in the Ministry of Tourism and Culture had been working hard to achieve this objective to see the five historical links marked and celebrated and this is now a reality they saw pleases them and one that will help consolidate the racial harmony that exists in these islands.
The first Seychelles-China Day celebrations will be launched on the 31st January marking the Chinese Spring Festival at the same time. The three day celebrations has received the support of the Chinese Embassy in Seychelles, the Chinese Association of Seychelles and of the Seychelles Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
The Chinese Embassy is responsible for bringing to Seychelles two performing groups who will be key for the entertainment during the three day celebrations. They have also flown in a lion dance instructor to train young Seychellois in the art of lion dance.
Seychelles is showing that, as a small nation, it respects its history and that they leave no stone unturned to consolidate the social & racial harmony that remains a key attraction for their tourism industry.
