Drunk passenger jailed for bomb hoax at Dubai International

Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News - A transit passenger at Dubai International Airport was jailed for lodging a fake bomb threat with police, the National newspaper reported yesterday.

The incident occurred on December 31, 2013 when the Indian passenger called police from his hotel phone and told them -----that a bomb was about to explode at the airport. He claimed to be a Pakistani.

Police traced the call to the hotel and arrested the man. He was found in a drunk state.

The Misdemeanours Court sentenced the passenger to one month in jail for the bomb threat and fined him Dh2000 for drinking without a licence.
