Seychelles at Meetings Africa in Johannesburg

aTP- Arab tourism portal- The Seychelles Islands is currently attending the Meetings Africa exhibition, taking place over two days in Johannesburg, South Africa.
This is the country’s second participation at the fair and the delegation is being led by the Seychelles’ Minister -----for Tourism and Culture, Alain St Ange. Also present are the Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Sherin Naiken; the board’s Director for Administration, Jenifer Sinon; the Director for Africa and Americas, David Germain and the manager for the tourist office in South Africa, Lena Hoareau.
The exhibition was officially opened by the South African’s Minister for Tourism, Mr Derek Hanekom, on Tuesday morning and this set the tone for the two days of businesses and networking at the event.
It is to be noted that Minister St Ange had the day before officially opened the new Seychelles Tourist Office in Johannesburg, where he said that Seychelles needed to maintain a tourism presence in the heart of the country.
He said this will further boost the confidence of the travel trade in selling Seychelles and is a show of commitment by the STB in the marketplace.
Both the Minister and CEO Naiken also gave out a series of interviews to newspapers and TV stations, highlighting why Seychelles is now the exciting destination to visit.
