Saeed Bin Hamdoon Al Harthy, undersecretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communication for Ports and Maritime Affairs joined the Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of Oman Air, Abdulrahman Al Busaidy and other dignitaries in a cake cutting ceremony at Muscat International Airport, to celebrate the inaugural flight.
The five-hour flight operated by a Boeing 737-800 departs Muscat at 1450 and arrives in Nairobi at 1855, leaving on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
From Nairobi, the flights will depart on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, leaving at 0045 and arriving in Muscat at 0650.The new Oman Air route to the Kenyan capital Nairobi is a significant development for both countries.
